SEAT has responded to the temporary closure of retailers by providing virtual tours of its model range from product experts’ driveways.

The Live Showcase service enables UK customers to speak with a dedicated expert and experience the vehicle that they own or are interested in, without having to leave their home.

The virtual vehicle tour would normally take place in a dedicated facility, but with showrooms shut following government advice to prevent the spread of Covid-19, SEAT’s team has relocated the service to their homes.

Fusing the traditional car showroom and service experience with the ease of the online car-buying journey, SEAT’s Live Showcase is designed to maximise convenience while giving customers a personalised service.

Product experts use video technology, with 4G capability enabling them to connect with customers and live stream their model of choice via a mobile, tablet or desktop device.

The service allows existing customers to have questions answered about their vehicle, including how to use certain features and accessories, as well as talking to prospective buyers who are considering purchasing a new SEAT.

Six SEAT hosts are currently providing bespoke live demonstrations of the brand’s full line up of SUVs from their driveways, including the compact Arona, the mid-sized Ateca and new Tarraco seven-seater.

Over the last week, since the service went fully remote, the team have already handled more than 200 calls from the safety and security of their homes.

The service is available Monday–Friday from 11:00 to 21:00 and Saturday–Sunday from 11:00 to 19:00.

Users simply visit www.seat.co.uk and click the ‘Live’ pop up (bottom right of the screen), then add their phone number to get an immediate call back or to schedule an appointment for a date and time that is convenient.
