When Lloyds Bank closed its branch in Montpellier, Cheltenham a couple of years ago there were of course the usual grumbles from customers complaining about service going out of the window.
But the bank has been replaced by the Ivy Brasserie in Montpellier, not only the best restaurant in town but the best for miles around and the service is brilliant, almost as good as the food. The Ivy, which is part of that restaurant chain which has been famous for year, offering relaxed yet sophisticated all-day dining with an all-encompassing menu serving both modern British food and international classics..
It is located in the stunning Grade One listed Rotunda building and is open seven days a week.
